I know its not technically microblogging, but awhile back I mentioned I had been "assessing" how/what/why I blog. I kind sometimes feel like I have to outline a whole story or fill in the gaps or whatnot and I often feel like I'm more or less writing to an audience than for myself. Which, really, I AM writing to an audience but I'm not necessarily writing FOR the audience. My blog is for me, and there are so many times I have little things I want to write, things I'm thinking, things I'm feeling, and I might just want to jot them down.
Up until now I've been Twittering, which is linked to my Facebook account. Its nice... but its not going to be archived as my "journal". I love Facebook and am addicted (not so much to Twitter, but that's the only way to post to FB from my mobile) as all get out. I just signed up with mobile Blogger and can now blog from my cell. Which will be nice for those little one liners, thoughts, feelings, moments that I want to remember but am not at a computer to write it down.
We'll see how my "modified microblogging" works out...
I'm looking forward to more of your blogging... I've missed a lot of people who spend more time over at Twitter and Facebook these days. I've been holding out and refuse to get sucked in over there; I DO NOT need one more thing... :)
ReplyDeleteAnyway, it'll be nice to hear more of your goings on more often!
I miss you!!
I'm totally with you on this. I spend most of my time on FB but there is still SO MUCH I want to blog about. However, I don't have the time for big, long posts either so look for some microblogging from me as well.
ReplyDeletei like this. i'm just catching up with all your posts - but i like it! :)
ReplyDeletei need to get my butt off facebook and back to blogging. i'm SO far behind. look forward to catching up with you (and the rest of the blog world)!
