365 Days of Progress

Its hard to believe we've been living in our "New House" for a year now! The past 365 days have flown by.

In one sense, I can't believe how much we've accomplished in the past year but in another sense I get hung up on all the things I wanted to complete. I thought it would be fun to make a list of all the things we were able to check off of our "to do" list as well as make a list of things I'd like to accomplish in the next 365 days.

Check: Done!

• Ripped out carpet from living room
• Put new carpet in playroom
• Stripped wallpaper in playroom and painted
• Put up picture ledge in playroom
• New blinds in the playroom
• Painted the living room
• Put up curtains/rods in living room, dining room, and all 4 bedrooms (as well as new blinds)
• Painted the downstairs bathroom
• Stripped the wallpaper in the foyer and dining room
• Painted foyer and dining room
• New cabinet/mirror and pictures in dining room
• Patched the hole in the wall in the hallway upstairs
• Painted hallway
• Painted all 4 bedrooms upstairs, which also included a sufficient amount of hole-patching and wallpaper peeling!
  
• Put in closet organizers in Porter and Hudson's rooms
• Put railing on Treehouse, as well as added another deck and swingset
• New door knob on front door
• New doorbell
• Gutted the upstairs bathroom: new sink, mirror, toilet, light/fan and flooring
• New kitchen sink faucet
• New cabinet knobs in kitchen
• Put closet organizer in my walk-in closet

Up Next:

• Chairrail in dining room
• Tear down wall between kitchen and dining room
• Stain the wood steps going upstairs
• Finish the landscaping in the front yard
• Paint the front door and shutters on the house
• New counter top in kitchen (real granite or faux??)
• Strip wallpaper in kitchen: paint wall and tile backsplash
