Thursday I came home from work early sick as a dog. A severe sinus infection had taken over the best of me and I swear I was dying. I went to the doctor, got some kind of shot in my ass that was "sure to make me feel better by the evening" (Not) as well as a prescription for Ceclor. Yum. When I got home, I found my awesome awesome grandma (Oma) on her hands and knees scrubbing my dining room floor. She is the best. She had put Porter to work and they'd cleaned windows and the stove and microwave and she was just getting to the dining room. WHAT THE HECK! How lucky am I?
So, of course I felt awful going to bed while she was slaving away in my house but I had no choice.... I was about to crumble. I was able to sleep for about an hour before the boys woke me up. Grandma had left and my dining room floor looked great! I decided to sweep and mop (by hand) the kitchen floor so that they both looked good. Smart idea when you're feeling like your head is going to explode.
Today I managed to get the entire 2nd floor of the house dusted, vacuumed and straightened up. It looks GREAT (ok, I still need to clean the bathroom). Ryan was amazed and I reminded him... the basement is still trashed with clean, unfolded laundry and needs vacuuming badly. Why is it that all three floors of the house can never be spotless at the same time?
Aww, what a sweet Grandma you have. I hear ya on keeping the house clean...we only have two floors and it's impossible it seems. Such is life with kids, I guess. Hope you're feeling better!
ReplyDeleteWow...that's awesome! What a wonderful surprise. As for "Why?", you have 2 kids and a husband...it's not allowed to be clean at the same time.
ReplyDeleteGlad you're feeling a little better!
