Emerald Isle Day 2: The Bogue Inlet Pier

My mom lives just over a mile down the beach from the Bogue Inlet Pier. In fact, I rjogged down to the pier and back two of the mornings. After the aquarium we grabbed a bite to eat and then headed to the pier to watch the fishermen and hope to see them catch something interesting.

And ohhh we did! Within minutes of walking down the pier a man caught a little sand shark. And then another man caught another sand shark! It was pretty neat and Porter was totally excited to see it. We touched this little shark... his body felt velvety, but if you ran your fingers the opposite way it was rough like sandpaper.
