My work, to tell you the truth.... last week one of our kindergarteners was hit by a truck at his bus stop. The roads were terrible last Thursday morning. He was walking across the road to the bus and a truck coming towards the bus tried to stop but slid, albeit slowly, through the stop. The little guy was hit, and by none other than an act of God he had the quick instinct to grab onto the bug guard and hang on as the truck slid through mailboxes and the snowbank.
I was talking to his teacher today and she had asked him how he knew to hang onto the truck. He said he didn't know... he didn't remember. The only thing he remembered was being in the snowbank. It makes me shudder to think of what could have happened.... in front of his brother (one of my 3rd graders) and classmates on the bus. God was at work that day, yes He was.
Oh my. What a reminder how precious life is. Such a scary situation! Glad the little guy is okay - that is amazing.
ReplyDeleteWow! I hadn't heard about this. So glad he is OK! I think those inexplainable moments in times like that when you just do something and don't know why are definitely God moments.
ReplyDeleteOh I read about this in the Nixel emails that I get. Didn't think of him being at your school and didnt know all the details.
