Refacing

Last week, LeeAnn sent me the link to Tiffany Ruda's blog.  And I've been hooked.  For the past few years I've been wanting to replace our current entertainment center with something less obtrusive.  I originally thought of a corner unit, most likely an armoire so it could be closed to hide the tv.  I have searched Craigslist but haven't found anything worth spending money on.

And then I found Tiffany's blog.

More importantly... this post.  Where she turned this:

into this beauty:

Does that not look like it belongs in Pottery Barn??  

Of course I had a million ideas running through my head.  And I was running through the house with a tape measurer measuring furniture and tv's and corners of the room.  

I began with this just yesterday (yes, mom.... I know, I am painting yet another piece of furniture from you.  Sorry!).   I'm not 100% finished with it, but I will say that it looks flipping amazing so far.
