Turkey Day Trimmings

Ryan and I are year by year getting a good rhythm down for preparing dinner for Thanksgiving.  Our first year hosting we were a chaotic mess.  We had two turkeys in the oven (one in the apartment above the garage) and all the side dishes going and kids running everywhere and it was just crazy.  Last year, I don't remember anything honestly.  What the hell.  This year, however, Ryan wanted to grill one turkey and deep fry the other.  Which was nice because it left the oven free for all the other things.

Here is what our meal consisted of:

Deep Fried Turkey
Grilled Turkey (marinated in some kind of brine.  Next year we might try this homemade brine)
Creamy Mashed Potatoes
Homemade PW Dinner Rolls (SOOO GOOOD)
Roasted Carrots (SOOOO GOOOD!)
Sweet Potatoes
Corn
Stuffing (cooked inside the grilled turkey)
Deviled Eggs
Salad
Pumpkin Pie
Chocolate Pudding Pie

It was DELICIOUS!

Unfortunately I didn't take a lot of pictures.  And the pictures I did take are TERRIBLE.  It was a gloomy, gray day and by the time I decided to pull out my camera the sun was setting.  Ugh.  Next year, point and shoot with flash is coming out.
